Our next event is the mid summer musical evening on Friday 16 June when we will be entertained by The Frampton Footwarmers. Regulars at The Old Duke in Bristol, they are best described as a swinging Dixieland jazz band in the ‘Chicago style of the late 1920’s & 1930’s’. Come and join the fun, enjoy glorious views of Chew Valley Lake (by kind permission of Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club) whilst a hearty supper is served, with cash bar & Raffle.
Many thanks to Whitehall Garden Centre for allowing us to hold a bucket collection on Saturday 25 March, when a very pleasing £230 was raised – grateful thanks to all who contributed and helped make it such a success.
An enjoyable evening on Mothering Sunday 26 March at Chew Stoke, when High & Dry presented a varied performance of Sea Shanties to an enthusiastic audience. Thanks to all for your support, raising £350 which was an excellent result.
We will be supporting the Chew Stoke Harvest Home on Saturday 9 September.
The ever popular Curry Lunch will be held on Friday 10 November at our usual venue Ubley Parish Hall. Having taken place for well over 20 years now, usually oversubscribed so be sure to seek your tickets promptly when they go on sale towards the end of September.
