Luke farms 550 acres, managing 2 farms and 85 acres of national trust land. There are two beef herds on the farms – South and North Devon. The largest of these is the South Devon. The North Devon herd was established when Jim Twine and Luke developed a conservation grazing partnership with the National Trust and moved cattle onto Leigh Woods. Leigh Woods is a remarkable site that has an Iron Age Hill Fort at its heart and overlooks the Clifton Suspension bridge and the city of Bristol. A short film about this initiative can be seen by visiting:-

Luke and Jim formed The Story Group 5 years ago in an aim to provide customers with great tasting, local organic meat. In 2010 Bill and Emma Yeats, of Lowerstock Farm, joined The Story. They are poultry experts and have developed their own breed of chicken called the Bishops Vale. This is sold exclusively through The Story. One of the many things that is unique about their production system is that they have a breeder flock and therefore hatch the chicks themselves and take them all the way through to table weight. In addition, Bill and Emma have established a small scale killing and processing facility at Court Farm. Their poultry production is genuinely unique. In addition we also have organic pork and lamb available on a seasonal basis and are keen to develop this into a consistent supply through larger herds on our land.

If you would like to buy meat of any kind then please place an order thru www.thestorygroup.co.uk or ring Luke at anytime on 07855 492108
